Tonight at the Cub Scout pack meeting Zander received several awards; his hiking, fishing, and wildlife conservation belt loops, and his Bobcat award. He was so excited to get a badge for his uniform and loops for his belt. The Bobcat award is the first of several badges/rank advancements that a boy can earn in Cub
Scouts. When a boy earns his Bobcat we have the father turn the Cub Scout upside down so that the badge can be pinned on temporarily upside down. The boy can turn the badge right side up again when he does a good turn. After they get their badge the boy gets to pin a Bobcat pin on his mother, then he is supposed to give his Mom a kiss. Everything went as planned for Zander except
that when it was time to give me a kiss he tried to run away. Luckily Lee was there to play blocker for me and I was able to grab Zander and gave him a big kiss. I am so please with him and his achievements.
